Delacruz sentenced to two years for sexual assault of a child

An undocumented worker from Center was sentenced to two years in prison Friday after pleading guilty in Nacogdoches County 420th District Court to sexual assault of a child.

You may remember a year ago 28-year old Juan Fabian Arenas-Delacruz was wanted after a 15-year old girl was reported to be missing when she did not return home from school.

A Texas Amber Alert was issued and canceled two-days later.

Delacruz and the girl were found in Lubbock, and he was arrested at a worksite at Texas Tech University, and the victim was found in a nearby motel room.

Delacruz confessed to sexually assaulting the girl.

It was originally believed the teen was taken against her will. However, it was determined she left town willingly, and the family knew of the relationship.
