In Texas, its $2.11, up five pennies this week; Louisiana is up to $2.11, also a five-cent rise.
Locally, the lowest in Center this morning is $2.08, which is unchanged in the past week.
There was a gas price war in Jasper County Thursday afternoon into the evening as two convenience stores on Hwy. 63 west of Jasper were battling it out. At 7 p.m. last night the lowest for regular was $1.31, while diesel was $1.05.
