February is Dental Health Month. 

Joaquin Elementary first grade students were nominated by Mr. Jay Wilson and the Joaquin Masonic Lodge to receive a dental presentation and free preventative tooth decay kits.

The program held on Feb. 10, 2015, was sponsored by Masonic Home and School of Texas and Fantastic Teeth Fan Club. Mr. Jay Wilson, Mr. Randy Bonner and Mr.Jerry Agnew with Joaquin Masonic Lodge attended. 

Portia King, School Nurse, presented a short video, Dental Defenders vs Cavity Creeps. She also explained the importance of your teeth and gave a demonstration how to brush. The students also enjoyed question and answer time.The dental kits were passed out by the Masons and the students showed their appreciation.
