Accidents reported during rain last night, woman penned in wreckage, truck carrying yeast overturns

A couple of accidents reported last night during the height of the rain.

 

A woman was reported to have been trapped in her vehicle after leaving the roadway in the Huxley area around 7:30 p.m.

 

The Center Fire Department and ACE EMS responded to FM 3172 at Bill’s Landing where the unidentified female had to be cut free of the wreckage. She was taken to Nacogdoches Memorial with unknown injuries.

 

Just before 10:30 p.m. an 18-wheeler tanker carrying yeast rolled-over on Hwy. 59 south of Tenaha, near the Pilgrim’s Pride Feed Mill. No injuries reported.

 

The truck-tractor was removed, but the loaded trailer remains on the scene where the contents will be removed today.
