Shelby & San Augustine County elected officials to be sworn-in Jan. 2

Newly elected officials in Shelby and San Augustine Counties will be sworn-in during ceremonies Friday morning.

 

Shelby County’s swearing-in will take place at 9 a.m. Friday in the community room of the Shelby County Courthouse as 273rd District Judge Charles Mitchell will be giving the oath to 12 county officials. A reception will follow.

 

The San Augustine swearing-in will be at 9 a.m. in the San Augustine County Courtroom as 11 county officials will receive the oath of office.

 

Among the Shelby county officials being sworn-in are:

 

County Judge – Allison Harbison

 

District Clerk – Lori Oliver

 

County Clerk – Jennifer Fountain

 

County Tax Assessor/Collector – Debora Riley

 

County Treasurer – Ann Blackwell

 

Commissioner Pct. 2 – Jimmy Lout

 

Commissioner Pct. 4 – Bradley Allen

 

JP #1 – Maxie Eaves

 

JP #2 – Marla Denby

 

JP #3 – Margie Anderson

 

JP #4 – Jenny Hicks
