Most local businesses are observing a short work-week with the Christmas holiday.

The Shelby County Courthouse and county offices will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The City of Center offices are closing at 1 p.m. Wednesday and will be closed Thursday & Friday.

The San Augustine County Courthouse and offices are also taking a three-day holiday break, while the City of San Augustine offices will be closed Thursday & Friday.

Banks and other federal offices will likely be closing early Wednesday and be closed Thursday.

The post office will be closed Thursday, but will re-open Friday.
