The San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that a third theft suspect was taken into custody over the weekend wanted for taken some $26,000 in oil field equipment and supply in the county.

Jail records indicate 37-year old Roy Edward Marshall of San Augustine was arrested in Angelina County Saturday.

Marshall, along with 25-year old Joshua Miles Bearden of San Augustine and 20-year old Russell Dale Smith of Hemphill have already are been charged with Theft and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

A fourth suspect, 21-year old Jeremy Bradford Sowell of Hemphill remains at large.

Authorities say diesel, oil and batteries were taken from eight oilfield companies, and each company has had multiple sites hit by the suspects.
