Tenaha Tiger senior running back Cobe Caraway has been named the Dist. 11-2A MVP as the all-district post-season football honors were released this Wednesday.
Two other Tigers also picked up superlatives as Tenaha senior QB T.J. Thomas was co-offensive MVP and senior linebacker DaMarcus Perry was tabbed Defensive MVP.

The Tenaha Tigers will be in the Martins Mill Tourney starting today. The Tigers take on state-ranked Martins Mill at 7:40 p.m. tonight, and will play Paradise at 11:40 a.m. Friday & Callisburg at 8 p.m. Friday.
The Tenaha Lady Tigers are home against San Augustine Friday at 5:30 p.m.
The Shelbyville Lady Dragons will host Burkeville Friday at 5 p.m.

For the 6th consecutive year, Tenaha ISD will host the Holiday Hoops Scholarship Classic on December 29, 30, and 31. Forty of the state’s top Class 1A, 2A, and 3A programs will descend upon Tenaha for an opportunity to battle it out on the hardwood for what has become one of Texas’ top invitational tournament trophies. The tourney will include 71 games over three days being played in Tenaha, Gary, Joaquin and Carthage.
In college hoops last night, the SFA Lumberjacks take a 66-60 win over Texas State to win their seventh-straight. SFA will take on Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m. Saturday in Nacogdoches.
