Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 94-year old Marjorie Hooks of Center. She passed away Tuesday in Center. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Among Marjorie Hooks’ survivors are daughters, June & Al Stenier of Dallas and Monte & Deck Jones of Center.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 79-year old Hoyt Kimbro “Pop-a-top” of Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Among Hoyt Kimbro’s survivors are daughters, Wanda & Les Perkins of Shelbyville and Jennifer & Brad Davis of Carthage; and brothers, Kenneth Kimbro of Dayton.

 

Taylor Funeral Home of Timpson announces service for 49-year old Robert Joe Marshall of Timpson. Service will be at 4 p.m. this afternoon at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 p.m. until service time. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made at Austin Bank, Timpson to assist with funeral expenses.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine announces a memorial service for San Augustine community and civic leader, 72-year old Woodrow “Woody” Wayne Harrison. Memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27 at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. Woody Harrison is survived by his wife, Glenda Harrison of San Augustine;  son, Houston WW Harrison of Arkansas; daughter, Divini Creech of Richardson; brother, Rick & Debbie Harrison of Houston; and brother-in-law, Robert & Sheila Ramey of Arkansas.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine announces service for 62-year old Kathie Waller of Broaddus. She passed away Tuesday in Broaddus. Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with burial at Macedonia Cemetery, San Augustine. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. Among Kathie Waller’s survivors is husband, Keary Waller of Broaddus; daughter, Monique & Earl Jr. Williams of Bay City; mother, Maggie Lena Phillips of Broaddus; brother, Maynard & JoAnn Phillips of Lufkin; and sister, Audrey & Jimmy Steptoe of Broaddus.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces a memorial service for 65-year old Minister Earnie Mae Goodwin, a former resident of Center. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at Pleasant Grove Church in Center. A wake will be held all day Friday at Community Funeral Home in Center. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to service at Pleasant Grove Church. Following visitation Friday Ms. Goodwin will be cremated.

 

Community Funeral Home of Timpson announces service for 64-year old Fred Lawrence Brown of Carthage, formerly of Timpson. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Smyrna Baptist Church in Timpson, with interment at Antioch Cemetery. A wake will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Community Funeral Home in Timpson. Among Fred Lawrence Brown's survivors arae daughters, Vicky & Tony Yarbrough, Tiayana Brown, Kelosha Brown, all of Timpson and Zerita & Damien Roberson of Garland; sons, Fedarron & Shonda Yarbrough, Tevin Brown, and Terrance Brown, all of Timpson, Feredoneus & Beverly Yarbrough of Dallas and Fredrick & Scottie Yarbrough of Garrison; brothers, Clarence & Joyce Brown of Carthage, John & Doris Brown of Henderson and Dale Brown of Timpson; sisters, Effie Owens of Carthage, Betty & Will Smith and Linda & Joe Lister, all of Longview.

 

Garner & Son Mortuary in San Augustine announces service for 96-year old Mrs. Elmarine Lyvon Anders Hoyt of Dallas. She was a native of the Greer Town Community in San Augustine. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mathews Baptist Church in San Augustine, with interment at Greer Town Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Garner & Son Chapel and from 11:30 a.m. to service time at the church.
