A Panola County woman was arrested in Angelina County for Driving While Intoxicated with two children Sunday night.

According to DPS Trooper David Hendry, an Angelina County DPS Trooper assisted Diboll Police with a possible intoxicated driver on US 59 just before 10 p.m.

The officer learned that 45-year old Julie Ann Beam of Gary was stopped for driving erractically. The officer noted that Beam exhibited multiple signs of intoxication and after performing poorly on the field sobriety test was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger.

She was accompaned by a five-year female and a two-year old male.

Beam was transported to CHI St. Luke Hospital in Lufkin to provide blood for analysis.

Both children were released to a family member.
