Service will be at 9:30 a.m. this morning at Calvary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, with burial at Tennessee Cemetery, Shelby County. Among Charles Monroe “Chuck” Armstrong’s survivors is his wife, Alice Armstrong; daughters, Shannon & Mitch Menefee, and Christy & Jason Boothe; brothers, Lloyd & Pat Armstrong, Alan & Janie Armstrong, Kevin & Janet Armstrong, and Keith Armstrong; sister, Joyce & Bob Bailey. Service was held at Wyman Roberts Chapel with interment at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Among Syble Cylesta Newton's survivor are husband, Alvin V. Newton of San Augustine; daughters, Betty & Lane Chambers of San Augustine and Brenda McCurry of Arkansas; sons, Greg & Angela Newton of Martinsville & Alvin K. & Ruth Ann Newton of Beaumont; and sister, Rachael & Howard Mitchell of San Augustine.
