The Center ISD Board of Trustees will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. today and among the agenda items will be discussion on procedures to appoint a special committee to assist with the search for an athletic director.

Superintendent Dr. James Hockenberry told us earlier this week no appointment to that search committee is expected at this time, just a discussion concerning the procedure.

He said by the first of February, a committee should be in place and the search process will be underway.

The Center ISD is looking to replace former AD/Head Football Coach Kevin Goodwin who resigned last month due to personal reasons.

Also on today’s agenda will be school board training provided by Region 7 Service Center.
