The Timpson High School Youth Advisory Council recently toured the Texas A&M campus in College Station along with their sponsors Go Center Director Vernett Richardson and counselor Charlotte Metcalf.

The core values of the Youth Advisory Council is to become involved in community service, to learn the importance of personal responsibility, setting a good example for others to follow and develop leadership skills.

The Youth Advisory Council meets each afternoon during activity period.  The Youth Advisory Council has been involved in several community based projects including participation in the Timpson Veteran's Day Program, presenting Veteran's Day program at Garrison Nursing Home and helping Woodlands Christian Church with food distribution for those in need.
