Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative has planned power outage tonight in specific areas

Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative will have a planned outage at 11:40 p.m. tonight If all goes as planned, the outage should last less than 5 minutes.

 

This outage will affect approximately 725 members served by the co-op's Hilltop substation located on Hwy 96 about 6 miles south of Center. As well as members served by the Black Ankle, Pendleton, Hemphill, Six Mile, San Augustine, Bronson and Holly substations.

 

This is to complete reliability upgrades, the regional transmission grid operator is requiring this short outage.
