Gas price drop picks back up over past week, nationally, statewide & at home

The drop in gasoline prices has picked back up this week after a slow down the previous week.

 

According to gasbuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Texas is averaging $2.66 a gallon, that's down six cents in the past week.

 

In Louisiana, a gallon’s averaging $2.68, down eight cents in a week.

 

Nationally, the average is $2.85, which is seven cents less than last week and 35 cents less from the same time a year ago.

 

Here at home, checking prices this morning in Center, it remains below the statewide average as the lowest we found was $2.62 at Wal-Mart, down nine cents in the past week.
