The Timpson City Council has a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. today and among the agenda items will be discussion and possible action on a number of employment items. Among those is re-instatement of former public works employee Kevin Bond and possibly reviewing and selecting applicants for the public works department. This agenda item could be dismissed if the council decides to re-instate Bond.

In addition, the Timpson Council will retire to executive session to consider that item, as well as meet with police chief Kent Graham on a possible reduction in force due to budgetary reasons. At this time there are five officers on payroll.

In addition there will discussion and possible action on amending the Timpson Police Department Policy Handbook, as well as possible amendments to the current Fiscal Year Budget.
