CHS 43rd Powder Puff Classic to be held Tuesday evening at Roughrider Stadium

The Senior and Freshmen girls renew their rivalry over the Sophomore and
Junior girls in the 43rd (Semi) Annual PowderPuff Classic on Tuesday
November 18 at Roughrider Stadium.  The Kick-off is scheduled at 6:30.

"This game is usually packed," event organizer Chris Watlington said.  "We
will have to ask fans not to come to the press box to sit, however.  We
need to reserve seating for all the college and pro scouts who have
indicated that they will be in attendance."

Over 100 students will be participating in the game with 40 players, 12
coaches, and several lovely Powderpuff Cheerleaders, twirlers, and
chaparrals.  At halftime, the PowderPuff Band will perform, followed by the
Powderpuff Homecoming Queen Coronation featuring the lovely ladies of the
2014 Powderpuff Court.

"I know there's a game to be played," Senior Duchess Chris Caudle said.
"But I'm in it to win the Powderpuff Homecoming Queen title.  It will look
very good on my college resume."

Over the past 18 seasons, the rivalry is a dead heat with the Senior and
Freshman Gridiron Gladiators winning 9 games and the Junior and Sophomore
Team winning the other nine.

"The Sophomore and Junior Team is really gunning for us," Senior Gridiron
Gladiator coach Adam Reeves said.  "But we've got the talent and the drive
on our team to go all the way.  To the fourth quarter."

Admission for all guests is $3, with pre-school age children admitted
free.  All proceeds benefit the Senior Class of 2015.  The Senior Class and
the Center Band Boosters will operate the concession stand.
