San Augustine Motor Company observed a milestone yesterday as it celebrated 70 years of business, all as a Ford Motor Company dealership, and all in the same building. Dan Fussell assumed leadership of the business from his dad W.H. Fussell who started doing business in downtown San Augustine in 1944. Now in its third generation of ownership, Fussell says it goes back to honesty and making it easy on the customer.

Fussell has employees that have been on the job 15 to 20 years, and growing up and running a San Augustine, he has a passion for small towns.

With son John and daughter Holly helping in the daily operations, "Dealin' Dan" says it's the family's desire is to get doing business in "beautiful Downtown San Augustine" as long as possible. Fussell said he's hoping they can make it to 100 years.
