CHS hosts annual UIL Academic Invitational

On Saturday, November 1st, Center High School held its annual UIL Academic
Invitational. Nine schools attended the event with just over two hundred
kids present and over fifty adults. With multiple events going on with CHS
students last weekend, many of the regular team members were unable to
attend, but those who competed continued the tradition of excellence in CHS
UIL Academics. Results of CHS students were as follows:


Computer Applications – 6th place, Brianna Cox

Number Sense – 4th place, Haley Hockenberry

Accounting – 2nd Place, Changchai Wang

Feature Writing – Alysen Jefferson

Informative Speaking – 6th place, Zane Ochoa, and  1st place, Brianna Suell

Persuasive Speaking – 3rd place, Allan Avendano

News Writing – 4th place, Alysen Jefferson

Science – 6th place, Brittany Lawrence; 5th place, Dillon Reynolds; and 1st
place, James Holt
