Two-vehicle accident in Nacogdoches County takes life of one, Garrison child in critical condition

A Nacogdoches woman was killed, a two-year old Garrison girl seriously  injured, following a two-vehicle accident Sunday night north of Nacogdoches.
 
DPS says an investigation indicates a 2006 Cadillac was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of FM 941, Appleby Sand Road around 6:30 p.m., when it struck a northbound VW Bettle, about eight miles out of Nacogdoches.
 
A passenger in the Cadillac, 78-year old Oweeda Morris of Nacogdoches was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, 82-year old William Morris was taken to a hospital and released.
 
The VW was driven by 51-year old Lisa Owens of Nacogdoches. Owens, and three of her passengers, 25-year old Heather Owens, 5-year old Nathaniel Troxell and 2-year old Allyson Troxell, were transported to Nacogdoches Memorial with injuries.
 
Allyson Troxell is listed in critical condition, and has been transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
 
All other passengers are listed in stable condition at Memorial Hospital.
