City of Tenaha, local homeowners agree on sewer line costs extension

The City of Tenaha and citizens Gordon and Judy Dupre have come to an agreement to install 360-feet of sewage line from the Dupre's home on FM 947 south to tap into the city's service.

Mayor Orinthia Johnson said cost of installing the line is over $15,000, of which the Dupre's have agreed to pay $4,000 of the costs.

Mayor Johnson said due to a meeting agenda technicality, the executive session with Public Works Director Stacy Cranford to discuss a cost of living increase for city employees was tabled due to names not being included on the agenda. He said the item would be placed on the next meeting's agenda corrected.
