Funeral notices 10/29/14

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 94-year old Pearline Andrews Windham of Center. She passed away Tuesday in Center. She was employed at the Center ISD for many years in the cafeteria. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to service, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Among Pearline Andrews Windham’s survivors is son, David & Bonnie Windham of Nacogdoches; and sister, Sally Anderson of Garrison.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a memorial service for 54-year old Dale Harding of Center. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in San Augustine.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 93-year old Chief Master Sergeant retired Wilson “Larkin” Miller of Austin. A full military honors service will be held at 11 a.m. this morning at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to service beginning at 9 a.m. this morning. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley. 

 

McDuffie Mortuary of Houston announces service for Travis Johnson of Houston. He passed away Saturday. Service will be Saturday, Nov. 1 at 12 noon at East Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, with interment at Thompson Cemetery. Among Travis Johnson's survivors is wife, Elaine White Johnson of Houston; sisters-in-law, Loretta Biggers and Nikkie White, both of Center, and Jacquiline White of San Augustine; and brothers-in-law, Lonnie White, Jr. of San Augustine and Errol Biggers of Center.

 

Hicks Mortuary in Center announces service for 38-year old Marcus T. Goodwin of Center. He passed away Sunday. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Abundant Love Ministries at 1218 Shelbyville St. in Center, with burial at St. John Cemetery in the Africa Community. Repass will be at Mt. Zion CME Church & Eddie Rush Goodwin’s residence. Visitation will be all day Friday at Hicks’ Chapel. Among Marcus Goodwins’ survivors is his wife, Rachelle Goodwin of Center; sons, LaMarcus Goodwin of Center, and Avanta’ Fredieu of Tenaha; daughter, Marchaelle Goodwin of Center; step-son, SaDarion Walker of Center; father, Archie Clayton Singleton of Longview; mother, Shirley Ruth Goodwin of Center; and grandmother, Eddie Ruth Goodwin of Center; brothers, Christopher Singleton of Canada, and Louis Singleton of Nacogdoches; and sisters, Jessica Singleton and Kylie Singleton, both of Longview, and Ashley Singleton and Ariel Singleton, both of Beaumont.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces pending service for 72-year old Mrs. Floria L. Hewitt of Shelbyville passed away Sunday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. A Wake will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Community Funeral Home in Center. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Triumph First Pentecostal Church in Shelbyville, with interment at Lane Town Cemetery in San Augustine. Among Floria Hewitt’s survivors is her husband, Jimmy Earl Hewitt of Shelbyville; three sons, Billy & Pauline Hewitt, James Earl & Gloria Joyce Hewitt, and Charles & Sherinaka Hewitt, all of Shelbyville; two sisters, Ora Mae & Donald Silmon of Dallas and Avis & Leroy Ayers of Longview; and a brothers, Billy Lane of Dallas.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 73-year old Miss Lizzia Mae Crockett of the Sexton Community. She passed away Friday night at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Reed Chapel Baptist Church in San Augustine, with interment at Corinth Cemetery, San Augustine. A Wake will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church. Among Lizzie Mae Crockett’s survivors is a daughter, Tericia Crockett of Shelbyville; a son, Elvis Ross Crockett of San Augustine; four sisters, LueVenia Barnes of Sexton, Lovie C. Boyd of Gloster, La., Iva Nell Simmons of Geneva, and Velma Cartwright of Sexton; three brothers, Leroy Crockett of Shelbyville, and Lonnie Crockett and James Crockett, both of San Augustine.

 

Community Funeral Home of Timpson announces service for 67-year old Mrs. Kathleen Yarbrough Moore of Timpson. She passed away Wednesday at Nacogdoches Medical Center. Visitation will be from 10-12 Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church in Timpson, followed by service at noon at the church, with interment at Antioch Cemetery. Among Kathleen Yarbrough Moore’s survivors is her mother, LaMerle Yarbrough of Timpson, two daughters, Kathleen Moore & Monica Moore, both of Timpson; a son, Marvin & Ulanda Moore of Houston; two sisters, Gladys & Roy Jenkins of Tenaha, and Maristine & Donald Rhodes of Timpson; and a brother, George Ray Yarbrough of Timpson.
