Tenaha High School Homecoming to be festive event

At this year's Tenaha High School Homecoming to be held Saturday, Nov. 1, the classes ending in a "4" will be honored, dating back to 1934 to present.

 

The Tenaha Hall of Honor induction ceremony will be at 10 a.m. as Berta Babek, Retired Master Sgt. Jonathan Adams Matthews and Steven Joe Watson will be honored.

 

Something new is Tiger Tailgating that will be held at the High School parking lot from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. next Saturday, prior to the Tenaha-Overton football game.

 

Tiger fans are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy music, games, food and prizes. All games are 50-cents to $1.

 

The homecoming parade starts at noon, with the Tiger Pep Rally at the high school starting about 2:25 p.m.

 

Pre-game activities with the Homecoming Court and crowning of the Queen as well as Hall of Honor Inductees will begin at 3:30 p.m. Followed by the football game at The Pit at 4 p.m.
