The Texas Tribune to hosts event at SFA with Sen. Nicholls, Rep. Clardy on Oct. 22

The Texas Tribune, the nonprofit, nonpartisan media organization, invites you to a luncheon and a conversation with State Senator Robert Nichols and State Rep. Travis Clardy from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. next Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the SFA Student Center in Nacogdoches.

 

Texas Tribune CEO and Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith will moderate a preview of the 84th Legislative Session and audience questions and answers. Senator Nichols, an industrial engineer from Jacksonville, has represented Dist. 3 in the Texas Senate since 2007, and serves as chair of the Transportation Committee, vice-chair of the Intergovernmental Relations Committee, and a member of the Finance, Health & Human Services, State Affairs, and Natural Resources committees.

 

Meanwhile, Rep. Clardy has represented Dist. 11 in the Texas House since 2013, and the Nacogdoches native, and attorney, is a member of the Higher Education, Local & Consent Calendars, Redistricting and Special Purpose Districts committees.

Wednesday's event is free and open to the public and includes a complimentary lunch. The conversation will also be livestreamed at texastribune.org/livestream (starting at noon).
