Huxley Bay Marina and Restaurant is holding its first Oktoberfest & Beauty Pageant event today thru Sunday.

There will be a craft show from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today & Saturday with live music at 7 p.m. Saturday from the Ashton Hill Band. Included Saturday will be the Backwoods Princess Pageant at 10 a.m.

Event coordinator Lora Collier said to come hungry Sunday, as a traditional Oktoberfest luncheon will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, German Potato Salad, Beer/Bacon & Cheddar Bread, along with Pickled Eggs and topped off with Belgium White Beer Cookies with orange icing.
