Pineywoods Fair in Nacogdoches heads into weekend with lots of activities

The 37th annual Pineywoods Fair heads into Day 4 at the Nacogdoches County Expo and Civic Center. Today's events include Kid's Day with Farm Bureau from 8:30 to 1:30; market goat judging at 9 a.m., market lamb judging at 1 p.m. Vendor booths open at 3 p.m., with midway hours from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Glenn Lenderman will play from 7:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

It's also Coca Cola Midnight Madness from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Bring an empty Coca-Cola product and received a $12 discounted armband for unlimited rides. Without a Coca-Cola product, armbands are $17.

 

Saturday's Pineywoods Fair events include the Beef Heifer show at 10 a.m., vendor booths open at 11:30 a.m., the midway opens at 12 noon, cheerleading competition at 1 p.m., junior tractor pull at 4 p.m., the Premium Sale at 6 p.m. and Kelli Wilburn will be on the main stage at 7:30 p.m.

 

On Sunday, vendor booths open at noon till 4 p.m. the youth pumpkin carving is 1:15 p.m. and the carnival will be open from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a $12 armband special.

 

Fair admission is $5.
