In the October issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine, Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative Communications Specialist Brittney Johnson has written an article on KDET radio's "Payne’s Community News".

She titled her story, "Gooood Morning Shelby County", and has included some history behind the origination of the long-running radio program, along with pictures of all three generations of Payne’s that have delivered the news, including original hosts Rex and Phabrice Payne, followed by Vance Payne, and current host Rob Payne, who's added some insight.

It's a good read, and Center Broadcasting is proud to have its original and longest running program in the spotlight.
