The Nacogdoches United Way, now serving Shelby County made a donation to three Shelby County agencies recently.

Chairman of the Board Patrick Sanders, and President & CEO Gary Lee Ashcraft presented a $4,500 check to representatives of the Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center, $5,500 to Shelby County Outreach Ministries, and $3,000 to CASA.

Nacogdoches Area United Way recently changed their name to reflect their footprint which now includes Shelby and San Augustine County.

The organization said to look for more activity from United Way in the coming year as they strive to help meet the local needs in both their service area.
