DETEC updates storm related power outages

Due to the severe storms that passed through the Deep East Texas Service Area, DETEC reported approximately 1800 members out of service after the peak of the storm at approximately 12:30 AM.  These outage were in the areas of: Nacogdoches County - approximately 150 meters out, Shelby County - approx. 150 meters out with the majority being in the Timpson area, Panola County - approx. 600 members out due to an outage experienced by SWEPCO that feeds the DETEC line, San Augustine County - approx. 10 members out, Sabine County - approx. 10 members out, and Jasper County - approx. 700 members out.

By 1 AM, power was restored to the 600 members in Panola County.  At 1:45 AM, power had been restored to the 700 members in Jasper County.  

As of 8 AM, less than 50 members are without power.  As always crews will continue to work until power is restored to all members.
