Women found in possession of cocaine during traffic stop in Nacogdoches

Two women were arrested during a traffic stop on Northwest Loop 224 in Nacogdoches Wednesday morning with an estimated $175,000 in cocaine hidden in a cooler.

 

The Nacogdoches Police Department says a Dodge Caravan driven by a 47-year old Houston woman was stopped for expired motor vehicle inspection sticker.

 

A passenger, a 44-year old Madisonville woman was also taken into custody.

 

A press release says officers received consent to search and located a modified 48-quart cooler that contained approximately four pounds of powder cocaine.
