Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges has confirmed that a 73-year-old Cushing man who went missing on since Sept. 24 was found alive near Lone Star Road in Nacogdoches late Tuesday morning.

A press release issued Tuesday afternoon says Ernet McBride was found by two men mowing a yard at a rental property underneath an awning covering a shed.

He was rushed to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and listed in stable condition suffering from dehydration and numerous insect bites.

Sheriff Bridges thanked the public for their tips and information received during their investigation.

Ernest McBride has been found and is safe.
