Joaquin man OK after rolling vehicle at railroad overpass

A Joaquin man escaped serious injury last Saturday morning after leaving the roadway at the rail road overpass in Joaquin and rolling his Chevrolet Silverado pickup down the embankment.

DPS Trooper Jade Lavergne says 79-year old Tommy Lawson was taken to ETMC in Carthage for treatment of injuries. It’s reported emergency personnel received a 911 call around 2 a.m. notifying of the crash east of the State Hwy 7 and U.S. Hwy. 84 intersection, very near the railroad tracks.

Lawson was responsive in the vehicle when authorities arrived.
