A Center man is recovering from injuries received from a motorcycle accident earlier this week in San Augustine County. DPS reports 54-year old Ricky D. Rhodes of Center was driving a Harley Davidson northbound on State Hwy. 147, just inside the San Augustine County line Tuesday afternoon when he failed to control speed in a curve, leaving the roadway and ending up in a ditch, striking a mailbox. He was taken to CHI St. Luke’s in San Augustine, and life-flighted to University Health in Shreveport where he’s reported to be in stable condition. It's reported Rhodes was not wearing a helmet.
