The Tenaha ISD is mourning the loss of a high school student last night. The school is reporting 15-year old Sophomore LaShasta Johnson passed away at ETMC in Carthage after a brief illness.  

 

According to TISD Administrative Assistant Brenda Lucas, The Tenaha ISD is asking that everyone lift the family up with prayer and support.  

 

She said once details are known, they will quickly forward them.  

 

School continues today and counselors on the campus ready to help with grieving students and staff members.  

 

At this time, no decision has been made regarding this week's extra-curricular activities including Junior High, Junior Varsity, and Varsity football versus Shelbyville. 

 

Services are pending at Community Funeral Home in Center for LaShasta Johnson.
