Shelby County Outreach Ministries in need of volunteers, community support

Shelby County Outreach Ministries has been under new leadership for the past month as Sherry Harding has taken over duties as the new executive director. Ms. Harding tells us since January the ministries' programs have assisted over 2,200 needs and served more than 13,000 meals. However, these needs have placed a strain on Shelby County Outreach Ministries' resources.

Shelby County Outreach Ministries serves the community through Helping Hands Outreach, the Shelby County and San Augustine Senior Nutrition Sites, Meals on Wheels and The Unique Boutique.

Ms. Harding says volunteers are needed, along with faithful church, business and individual monetary support. If you can help out Shelby County Ministries in any way, you're asked to contact them at 936-598-4990, or stop by their office on Shelbyville Street in East Center.
