Late afternoon storms sweep across area, no damage reported

Another round of late afternoon thunderstorms swept across the Deep East Texas & Western Louisiana area yesterday as the isolated storms and showers spawned off due to heating and the seabreeze that’s moved inland from the Gulf Coast. No severe weather statements or warnings were issued by the National Weather Service during the course of the storms, and we stayed away from the gusty winds that have accompanied previous storms tracking across the area. There’s another chance of similar storms today. Look for afternoon highs to climb into the mid to upper 90s, combined with the relative humidity, heat indices will ranged from 100 to 104.
