Tri-County Community Action will begin a weekly food pantry giveaway this morning for Shelby County residents. “Harvest for Homes” will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Tri-County’s offices at 214 Nacogdoches Street, the old elementary school. You’re asked to bring proof of Shelby County residency, and income verification. The grocery giveaway will be held each Thursday at Tri-County from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Huxley Helping Hands, a local mission group from the Huxley Community, is also holding a food pantry Saturday, Aug. 16 for the residents of Shelby County.  Proof of residency is required. Only one (1) box per household.  Sign-in starts at 9am until food is gone at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 901 Southview Circle, Center.
