Dr. Barbra Cordell, Dean of Nursing and Health Sciences at Panola College will be on 20/20 this Friday, August 15th, at 9pm on ABC. The episode will have several medical mysteries discussed and Dr. Cordell will be featured in the case of Auto Brewery Syndrome.  This is based on the Nick Hess’ case and will include interviews with Nick, his wife, Dr. Cordell and Dr. Kandoia. Auto Brewery Syndrome, a.k.a. gut fermentation syndrome—is when an excess of yeast trapped in the small intestine creates alcohol that is absorbed directly into the bloodstream.
