VFW Post 8904 to observe Korean War Armistice with events Saturday

Shelby County Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8904 and the Ladies Auxiliary will observe the 61st Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice on Saturday, July 26th at the post home, 617 Highway 96 North in Center. There will be a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. followed by a Flag Retirement program with local scouts. The new flag burning facility, built by Boy Scout Nathan Hairgrove, will be used for the first time. The public, and especially Korean War Veterans, are cordially invited.  If you have a flag that is no longer serviceable and you would like to include it in the ceremony, you’re asked to bring it with you.
