Pineywoods Board of Realtors' issues fan challenge to other community organizations

Center Broadcasting spoke with Patsy Carl of Shelby County Outreach Ministries yesterday and she advised the Pineywood Board of Realtors had donated 10 fans to the organization’s fan drive that go to senior citizens in Shelby and San Augustine County.

Board of realtor member Laura Butler Rowe said the group felt there were so many senior citizens that needed some type of relief from the summer heat that they wanted to make the donation to the ministry.

She added the fans are colorful, and will hopefully brighten up the day of those that receive them.

Also, Ms. Rowe said a challenge has been issued from the Pineywood Board of Realtors to other community organizations to at least match the 10 fan donation to Shelby County Outreach Ministries.

You can drop fans off at the senior nutrition sites in Center and San Augustine, or at Unique Boutique and Helping Hands Ministry on Shelbyville Street in Center.

Fans will go to citizens 60-years of age and older.
