The City of Joaquin has three meetings scheduled for this afternoon.
Starting at 5 p.m., the Joaquin Economic Development Corporation will meet, among their agenda items will be the discussion and approval of road repairs and reorganization of the board.
At 5:30, the Joaquin Public Safety Corporation will meet to reorganize their board, and then at 6 p.m., there will be a regular meeting of the Joaquin City Council.
Items for discussion and possible action will be electing a mayor pro tem; and a request by Jim Gibson of the City of Center on placing a recycling cart in Joaquin for an annual fee.
In addition, James McDaniel is scheduled to address the council on street conditions; possible approval of the Paxton/Jackson water contract; discussion of the consumer confidence report on both Haslam Water Supply & Joaquin Water Supply; and discuss the pay increase for gas certifications.
