Carthage youth minister's death ruled suicide by L.A. authorities

To update you on a story we had last week concerning the death of a Carthage church’s youth minister, The Panola Watchman reported last Friday the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office is saying Jonathan Wright’s death has been ruled a suicide.

 

According to an investigator with the coroner’s office, Wright jumped from the second or third floor of the Westin LAX parking garage and was found around midnight, July 3. Wright had been vacationing in California with friends. He died from injuries the next morning at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

 

Jonathan Wright was youth minister at Central Baptist Church in Carthage, and was also a substitute teacher in the Carthage ISD.
