Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center and Garrison announces service for 72-year old Perry Honea of Garrison. He passed away Wednesday at Nacogdoches Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Garrison Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at First Baptist Church in Garrison, with interment at Cold Spring Cemetery in Garrison. Among Perry Honea’s survivors are, wife, Linda Honea of Garrison; son, Brad Honea of Garrison; daughters, Traci Stokes, Jenni Bernard, both of Garrison; brother, Bobby Honea of Nacogdoches; sister, Nelda Honea of Spring; father-in-law, Bud Williams of Garrison; brother-in-law, Larry Williams of Garrison; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Melton of Garrison and Penny Holloway of Garrison.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for long-time Shelby County businessman, 86-year old Johnny Maurice Gee of Center. He passed away Thursday at Twin Lakes Care Center in San Augustine. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home, with interment at Neuville Cemetery, Shelby County. Johnny Maurice Gee was the owner and operator of Gee Lumber Company from 1950 to 1992, playing an instrumental part in supplying lumber during the early stages of the poultry industry in Shelby County. Among his survivors are, wife, Ethel Gee of Center; children, Linda Miller, Mike Gee, David Gee and Richard Gee, all of Center; and sister, Helen Hall of California. Memorial donations may be made to the Neuville Community Cemetery Fund, 854 FM 2140, Center, and Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library in Center.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces the death of 79-year old Fred Carter Green of Shelbyville. He passed away Thursday in Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the home of Vance & Betty Green, 396 FM 2694 in Shelbyville. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date. Among Fred Carter Green’s survivors are, wife, Bessie Lou Green of Shelbyville; children, Danny Green of Shelbyville, Ron Green of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Theresa Stem of Boise, Idaho; and brothers, Vance Green of Shelbyville and Johnny Price of Center.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 81-year old Patricia Parker of Bexar County, Texas. A visitation will be held prior to service, beginning at 9:30 this morning. Service will be at 11:30 at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Duncan Cemetery in Shelbyville.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces graveside service for 58-year old Robert Lee Creech of Center. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Newburn Cemetery, Center. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Mangum Funeral Home.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine announces service for 58-year old Kay Frances Cuenco of San Augustine. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with burial at Macune Cemetery in San Augustine County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 63-year old Leola “Sister Girl” Hewitt of Center. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Abundant Life Ministries in Center, with interment at Westview Cemetery in Center.

 

Garner & Son Mortuary of San Augustine announces service for 61-year old Patsy Ruth Thomas of San Augustine. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Reed Chapel Baptist Church, with interment at Greer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at Garner & Son Chapel.

Garner & Son Mortuary of San Augustine announces pending service for 102-year old Herman Garner of San Augustine. He passed away Thursday at Memorial Health System of East Texas in San Augustine.

 

Hicks Mortuary of Center announces service for 55-year old Jerry Wayne Bruton. He passed away last Friday. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Smyrna Baptist Church in Timpson, with burial at Timpson City Cemetery. Among Jerry Wayne Bruton’s survivors are, wife, Denise Bruton, mother, Christopher Fay Williams of Ardmore, Ok.; sons, Jerald Bruton and Derail Taulton, both of Oklahoma; and daughters, Antonette Christopher of Texas and Shinika Fagan of Oklahoma.
