Funeral Notices: 7/7/14

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of service Sunday for 85-year old Juanice Wheeler Powell of Shelbyville. Service was held at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Shelbyville Cemetery. Among Juanice Wheeler Powell's survivors are, husband, James Powell of Shelbyville; sons, Greg Powell of Shelbyville and Timothy Powell of Odessa; and brother, Richard Don Wheeler of California. Donations may be made to the Methodist Children's Home in Waco.

 

Mangum Funeral Home was in charge of service Sunday for 43-year old Lisa Marie Whittley of Center. She passed away last Thursday in Shreveport after a brief illness. Service was held at Sardis Pentecostal Church with interment at the Brandon Shofner Memorial Cemetery in the Sardis Community of Shelby County. Among Lisa Marie Whittley's survivors are parents, Edwin & Madie Whittley of Center; and brother, Bill Whittley of Center. If you would like to make a contribution to the family for funeral expenses, an account has been established at Shelby Savings Bank in Center.

 

Sid Roberts Funeral Home in Nacogdoches was in charge of service Sunday for Elma Dean Greer. Service was held at St. Matthew Baptist Church in San Augustine, with burial at Greer Cemetery in San Augustine. Elma Dean Greer is survived by, daughter, Patricia Smith; step-daughter, Teresa Jackson; and sister, Debra Sexton.

 

Sid Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of service Saturday for 26-year old Stephen McCollister of Center. Service was held at Mt. Gillion Cemetery, Center, with burial at Mt. Gillion Cemetery. Among Stephen McCollister's survivors are, parents, Sheldon and Sheila McCollister; brother, Sheldon McCollister; and grandmothers, Irene Morris and JoAnn McCollister-White.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 53-year old Mary Alice Moore of San Antonio. She passed away last Wednesday at her residence. Service will be held at 2 this afternoon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Center, with interment at Blount Chapel Cemetery in Center. Among Mary Alice Moore’s survivors are, husband, Clarence Moore of San Antonio; daughter, Raven Moore of San Antonio; and 10 sisters and 14 brothers.
