Dist. 21-1A All-District Baseball Teams announced, Joaquin's Lawson Newcomer of the Year

The District 21-1A Boys’ All District Baseball selections have been announced, and as would be expected, state champion Douglass dominated the superlatives. However, named as the Newcomer of the Year is Joaquin Ram freshman, Brock Lawson. First Team all-district choices include: Designated Hitter: Timpson Bear senior Tanner Murdock; Catchers: Joaquin sophomore, Cole Powdrill and Timpson junior, Brandon Torres; First Base: Shelbyville Dragon senior, Brandon Schilder; Infield: Joaquin senior, Lance Lawson, and Joaquin senior, Cage Belrose; Outfield: Timpson senior, Colten McSwain; Joaquin freshman, Nate Belrose, and Shelbyville senior, Cole Mooney.

 

Second-team all-district picks are: First Base: Joaquin junior, Adam Mason and Martinsville junior, Caden Still; Degisnated Hitter: Joaquin junior, Tyler Walker, and Shelbyville senior, Ethan Gurley; Pitcher: Tenaha Tiger junior, Tyler Davidson; Catcher: Shelbyville senior, Colton Brown; Infield: Timpson sophomore, Hunter Smith, Timpson junior Keaton Bush, Shelbyville sophomore, Kent Vaughn, Joaquin sophomore, Tawren Williams and Shelbyville sophomore, Wyatt Farraher; Outfield: Martinsivlle junior, Cy Compton, Shelbyville junior, CJ Watson, Timpson sophomore, Hayden Smith, Joaquin senior, Armondo Robles, and Tenaha senior, Tyler Green; Utility Player: Tenaha senior Tristin Green.

 

The District 21-1A Coach of the Year is Douglass’ Eugen Lafitte; MVP: Douglass senior, Brandon Stanfield; Offensive Player of the Year: Douglass senior, Bryce Westbrook; Defensive Player of the Year: Cushing junior, Cameron Burk; and Pitcher of the Year: Douglass senior, Brock Lawson.
