Funeral Notices: 6/26/14

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 70-year old Jessie Lee Bishop of Shelbyville. He passed away Tuesday at Nacogdoches Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 Friday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 11 Saturday at McClelland Community Church in Shelbyville, with interment at McClelland Cemetery. Among Jessie Lee Bishop’s survivors are, wife Ruth Bishop of Shelbyville; children, Jack Bishop and Anita Evans, both of Tennessee; Bobby Allgood and Randy Allgood, both of Cleveland, and Larry Allgood of Porter; brothers, James (Bill) Bishop and Harold Bishop, both of Tennessee; sister, Lynda Bishop of Tennessee; and sisters-in-laws, Alice Ansley of Gary and Jerrie Chandler of Shelbyville.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 80-year old Betty Doris Taylor of Joaquin. She passed away Wednesday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 today at Watson & Sons Chapel. Service will be at 11 Friday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Johnson Cemetery in Joaquin. Among Betty Doris Taylor's survivors are, her husband, Doyl Taylor of Joaquin; daughters, Betty Ann Cockrell of Longview and Gayle Green of Hallsville; brother, Harold English of Keithville, La.; brother-in-law, Ray Fisher of Pelican, La.; and sister-in-law, Faye Ashley of Joaquin.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 46-year old Ora Verdell “Bubba” Christopher, Jr. of Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 today at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 Friday at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Nacogdoches County, with interment at Shady Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches County. .

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a memorial service for 86-year old Jane Frances Young Smith of Garrison. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Garrison. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Garrison Building Fund or Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.

 

Hawthorn Funeral Home in Carthage announces service for 83-year old Jane Golden of Carthage. She passed away Tuesday in Longview. Service will be at 10 this morning at Southside Baptist Church in Carthage, with a private family burial at Shelbyville Cemetery. Among Jane Golden's survivors are, her husband, D.D. Golden of Carthage; children, Dennis Golden and Suzon Cloud, both of Carthage, Dixon Golden of Center, and Gary Golden of Hemphill; and brother, David Swanzy of Center.
