The San Augustine City Council has a called meeting at 5 Monday, and among the agenda items will be a discussion and possible action to approve minor construction on the front side of the historic Lewis Railroad Hotel building,  and discussion and action, if any, on the San Augustine Volunteer Fire Department Policies and Procedures. City Manager Bruce Milstead says this will address emergency dispatching since there are no guidelines at this time. Milstead advised the meeting with the DETCOG Economic Development Committee last Thursday concerning grant funding to assist with construction of a new fresh water storage tank went well. He said the committee will take the information to Austin and hope to have an answer possibly this week.
