The Shelbyville ISD Board of Trustees will have a special meeting at 12 noon today. Superintendent Dr. Ray West tells us the board will be interviewing two finalists for the elementary principal’s position – an internal candidate, and one outside the district.

He said Cindy Coleman submitted her resignation and left the position as principal at the end of the school year after one year on staff.

In addition, Dr. West said the board may hire a girls’ coach, who would help with getting volleyball started, as well as assist with other coaching duties.

Hiring a high school science teacher is also a possibility at today’s meeting of the Shelbyville ISD.
