Chaparral Haley Hockenberry earns All-American status

Center High School Chaparral Haley Hockenberry has earned All-American status and has qualified to perform in the 2015 London New Year's Day Parade.

Hockenberry is a sophomore, and is 1st lieutenant on the Chapparal squad. She attended the Universal Dance Association Officer Camp in Ruston, Louisiana, along with other Chaparral officers, Senior Captain Alexis Salas and sophomore 2nd Lieutenant Sydney Denney. The officers learned and performed three routines and earned superior ribbons on all performances. They also earned spirit sticks each night and a trophy for All Superior Ratings, which qualified them for Nationals in Florida, in January 2015.

Last night, the entire Chapparal's team traveled to Centenary College in Shreveport for team camp. They'll be performing their home routine as well as learning a variety of routines to perform throughout the year. Congratulations to the officers and best to "The Sweethearts of Shelby County", the Center High School Chaparrals.
