San Augustine may have outside garbage company in place after today's meeting

The City of San Augustine may be one-step closer to having an outside garbage collection company when they have a regular meeting at 5 this afternoon. The Council is to meet in executive session with the city’s attorney concerning the proposal with Piney Woods Sanitation to take over collection of garbage.

 

In other business, there will be discussion and possible action to pay half of the utility bill for the San Augustine Garden Club due to public library use of the building; the 2014 Election Services Agreement with the San Augustine County Election Administrator Deborah Woods; and receive updates from Main Street Manager Tracy Cox; Municipal Court from Judge Betty Loggins; and report from City Manager Bruce Milstead.
